Red pandas are small, tree-dwelling mammals native to the forests of the Himalayas and southwestern China. Their thick reddish fur and bushy tails help keep them warm, while their sharp claws make them excellent climbers. Although they share a name with giant pandas, red pandas are a unique species that primarily eat bamboo, along with fruits, insects, and eggs.
